Dômes de Miage, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Bonneville, Upper Savoy, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Kontinentalna Francuska, 74170, Francuska
Nestled in the Mont Blanc massif’s southern reaches, the Dômes de Miage stand majestically, reaching up to 3,673 meters. This magnificent snow-clad arête, extending over three kilometers, showcases a sequence of six peaks. From southwest to northeast, these include the notable L’Aiguille de la Bérangère, followed by a series of unnamed summits identifiable by their elevations. The Dômes de Miage ridge is celebrated for its breathtaking beauty within the Mont Blanc region. Typically, ascents commence from the Refuge des Conscrits, traversing the Tré-la-Tête glacier, and navigating up to the Col des Dômes. The route continues along the arête up to La Bérangère, offering an experience rated PD (Peu Difficile). For more seasoned mountaineers, a comprehensive crossing from the Refuge des Conscrits to the Refuge Durier, encompassing the entire ridge, presents a slightly more challenging AD (Assez Difficile) grade. This traverse is often combined with a journey across the Aiguille de Bionnassay to Mont Blanc, making it a sought-after route for adventurous climbers.
